A lum is a chimney so 'White Lums' just means 'white chimneys'. It's the sort of name that would crop up in lots of different places, and it may not even be the formal name of the house (assuming that it even had a formal name). The 1881 census lists Whitlums in Udny and Whitelums in Gartly, Keithhall and Monymusk.

If the certificate says that his usual residence was Whitelums, Rescobie, then it is reasonable to suppose that the Aberlemno registrar recognised the address as being in that parish, which is just next door. It would follow that a similarly named house in the parish of Kirriemuir is almost certainly a red herring.

Where was he living in the 1891 census?

Never trust anything you find online (especially submitted trees and transcriptions on Ancestry, MyHeritage, FindMyPast and other commercial web sites) unless it's an image of an original document - and even then be wary because errors can and do occur.

Would need to look at original , but it looks like he was in Aberlemno in 1891.
