ELLIS family
« on: Tuesday 24 January 12 20:50 GMT (UK) »
I would appreciate help to find the family of ANN ELLIS born  9 June 1836 in Machynlleth, Montgomeryshire.
She cannot be found in the parish records for this area. I have her birth from the IGI listing her parents as Ellis Ellis and Susan/Susanah Griffiths.
No marriage or census records can be found for these people either. I have searched ancestry endlessly.
She also listed her parents on her shipping records in 1858 when she left Wales and on her Australian death certificate.
Any help to give me a direction would be most appreciated.
 Thank you

Just a possibility could she have been visiting the Griffiths family on 1851 census:-

There's an Ellis Ellis and wife Susan/Susannah in Machynlleth in 1841 & 1861. However they are born c 1781 so unlikely to have a daughter in 1836 (no one with tem in1841). ellis is a wool weaver born Tyn Plas

On the 1851 Census I found a Susanah and Hugh Ellis living with their children in Montgomeryshire but no Ann with them.  Perhaps she was the visitor in the previous posting. Hugh is a grocer.
