I am not a member of A*******; tree not mine!

I have Clarinda's marriage certificate; she was married on 15th May 1853 aged 20yrs.

On the pedigree resource file it gives Clarinda's mother as Margaret (Ann) Rowland.   I do believe names on birth certificates can be different to baptism records e.g. my father's middle name was missed off his baptism records but was on his birth certificate or maybe it was the other way round; senior moment!  Perhaps Margaret was her chosen name and then on her baptism parents decided she was Ann..... sometimes it all gets confusing!

Clarinda the daughter of Richard Williams of Hyde in the parish of Stockport in the county of Chester, moulder and of Ann his wife who is the daughter of John and Clarinda Rowland was born on the twenty seventh day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty two.
And was solomnly baptised with water, in the name of the father, the son and of the Holy Ghost on the second day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight  hundred and thirty two by me

Ann Rowland was born in Derbyshire - here is her baptismal record - no mention of her being Margaret on either the marriage or baptism

Margaret was a second wife - but whoever has compiled the tree with her as Clarinda's mother has failed to note that she would have been 11yrs old when Clarinda was born!!
