Jersey Marriage or children born to GEORGE SLATER 1800's
« on: Sunday 29 January 12 10:22 GMT (UK) »
 ???
My 3rd great grand uncle, George Slater a Catholic born 1788 to John & Elizabeth in Alston Lancashire had a daughter Elizabeth baptised at Alston RC Church in 1810 giving her place of birth as Jersey. Could any kind person check to see if he married in Jersey or died there or had other children there. I haven't been able to discover anything else about him.
Thanks paslwigr

Hi Paslwigr

Sadly there is no marriage for a George Slater in any Parish around 1800-1820 in Jersey, neither are there any baptisms where the father was a George Slater.

Best of luck,

Stewart

Oh dear, it will all remain a mystery I think. But thank you Stewart for checking.
