The Gigg House, Alton, Staffordshire
« on: Wednesday 01 February 12 20:03 GMT (UK) »
Hi

I am looking for any images or any memories from any one who had relatives or even lived in this house. It was situated beside what was the train track in the churnet valley below the woods of Alton Towers.  All that is left of what used to be the house is rubble and a part of a boundry wall, and is over grown with trees. I would like to information to add to my images that I have uploaded onto Midlands Heritage

Anyone local to Alton and want to see it. Go to the Old Mill and walk down the train track towards Denstone and you will come to a gate and public footpath which takes you into Alton Towers properity  to the right of this gate that is where the Gigg used to be.

Hi Alf,
I wonder if you can tell me is the land The Gigg House is on, part of the Alton Towers estate?
