hi all thanks for the warm welcome, sorry I've not replied sooner, but I'm generally busy in work, and at the moment is the only net time I get.

I *think* (going on naming traditions) my dad's father was called James or Joseph Kellett, his mother was called mary (again not 1005 sure - it's not easy to find out as my parents both live abrooad lol!) and she would of been born early 1900's, as for my grandfather I'm not sure on year of birth I'm not sure, he died before my birth, be back soon peeps.  I've found the Kellett coat of arms but not sure if it's related to my family.
My Email address is not working sorry

Hi Richard,

It must not be easy when your parent are abroad to start your family research.

If you have Aunts and Uncles you can ask they are also worth asking them questions. Generally there is always one if the family who knows everything there is to know about the family history you may be suprised.

Otherwise I would sit down and write a letter to you Mum and Dad explaining what you are interested in and ask them a few questionsm who knows what records they may have ;D

Best of Luck

Sarah :)
