Death FreeBMD
Susannah Lloyd age 59 Dec 1/4 1907 Swindon vol 5a page 21

I looked at the 1881 census to see if Susannah was more specific about her birthplace.

This is the best census yet for Susannah's birthplace. But you still need that marriage cert for Winifred and William Lloyd cos all of this could be the wrong family for William A Lloyd!
RG 12/1584/29/4
19 Cheltenham Street Swindon
Albert E Lloyd 44 steam engine fitter born Blackfriars London
Susannah 41 Pontnewynydd Monmouthsire Wales
Susan A dau 19
Albert E 14 steam engine fitter apprentice
Cordelia 15 (is this Caroline from the 1881?)
Florence M 9
Ethel J 7
All children born Swindon

There are four Susannah Pritchards born Monmouthshire 1850 +/- 2. I chose this one because it is the only one in the Pontypool reg district and there is a sister Cordelia.
BUT you need the marriage cert of Albert E Lloyd to Susannah Pritchard given in an earlier post.  Family research means nothing without the documentaion to prove it. Your first step is the marriage cert for Winifred and William because I am just making guesses at the moment.
1851 HO107/2449/233/41
William Pritchard 40
Ann Pritchard 44
Cordelia Pritchard 13
Phillip R Pritchard 10
Richard Pritchard 5
Susanah Pritchard 2
Richard Fisher 26
Ann Fisher 21
Elizabeth Fisher 1

Hi There

Your family sound very familiar - I believe they are related to mine!  The engineering side of the Edmonds family lived in Wootton Bassett and also Lyneham - Edwin Edmonds was the start of the engineering side of things.  I will check my tree now, but do believe you may actually be on it!  Let me know if these towns sounds likely.  Hope to hear from you soon!  Best wishes, Debra Edmonds (Swindon, UK)

Hi again!

Further to my message yesterday - I have checked my family tree and you are on it!  We are 4th cousins!  Please message me offline and I can share all the information with you.  I have Albert born 1916 in Wootton Bassett, his wife was Gloria and he had children Gloria(!!!!) and Winifred both born in the USA.

I have photographs of Edwin Hugh Edmonds and Fanny Walker with their children, so Winifred (Albert's mother) will be in the photographs - I have a few of them.  They are lovely photos.

Hope to hear from you soon!

Debra Edmonds (Swindon)
