HO107/005 Folio 8B

"Village" Westoning
Samuel Spring 59 grocer
Abigail Spring 35
William Spring 15 J (=journeyman?) tailor
Ebenezer Spring 10
Joseph Spring 10
Naomi Spring 5
All born in Bedfordshire

The instruction in 1841 was that ages over 15 should be rounded down to the nearest 5 below, so 15 could be in the range 15-19. But the enumerator often forgot and put an actaul age down eg Samuel 59!

I couldn't see any other Springs in the village.

It looks to me as though you've established the link between William and Samuel/Abigail, as the age is in the right range and his occupation is spot on - a journeyman tailor would have served his apprenticeship so I would have thought he was older than 15.   19 seems more likely.

Regards

David
