does anyone from llanfaes area in brecon remember a david lewis who apparantly fought in the war second presumably and lost his both legs.  he used to sit outside one of the houses in orchard street llanfaes brecon.  i have no knowledge of mr lewis but i have been told he was a possible brother to my grandmother help please

 You could look at this the other way around  ;)
whats your grandmothers name have you found all the family on the census? you could then see if she had a brother with possible names, you could then look at service records and deaths in that area. What year or years was Mr Lewis living at orchard street?

hiya yes mr lewis presumabnly lived in orchard street.  i have the 1911 census and my gran and sister are very young so my greatgrandparents could have had another son after that date which was never spoken about.

have you checked the births after 1911? using your grandmothers surname for mothers surname?  have looked for a possible child born after that date? So I am asuming the Mr lewis you are looking for was injured in the 2nd world war ???
Who told you this info? and why would they not have spoken about another brother?
