Some of the information I have is.....
Alexander Maltman b 1821 Kelton KKD,  d 24/2/1894 Crossmichael, KKD. his wife
Jane Bennet  b 5/7/1815 Balmaghie,KKD,  d c1855 KKD.
They had 6 children including their daughter Wilhelmina.

Alexander's second wife was Grace Copland b 11/3/1833 Rerrick, d 3/11/1871 Meiklewood
Cothouse, Tongland. They had 2 sons named Alexander- No1 1856-1856. No2 b1857-

Alexander & Janes daughter Wilhelmina b  c 1845 KKD- d 19/9/1925 Halfirne Cottage,Crossmichael,KKD.
She had 2 children out of wedlock- Grace Maltman 1865-1952 & John Maltman b 1972.
She married James McDill on 4/6/1875 at Twynholm,KKD after the death of his 1st wife Jessie
Isabella Hyslop 1850-1874, with whom he had 2 children John 1870-1937 & Maggie 1873-1951.
James & Wilhelmina had a total of 11 children.

Cotter,Liddane,Gibson all in Co Clare,Ireland.

Thank you for your information.
I am not realy researching "Maltman" but was trying to help a friend and the tree just went up and up.

all he asked me to do was to find out somthing about
"Elizabeth Ireland Maltman" bn abt 1895
I picked the wrong branch ,

still I learnt alot about Kirkcudbrightshire and Scotish records,
 living iin Cornwall , Scotland is a bit unkown

My Great Grandmother, Margaret (b.1899 Borgue) was a Maltman directly descended from Alexander Maltman and Jane Bennet. Many of the names mentioned here are in my records. I will happily share the details I have so far if it would be useful.
