Dear Llangatwg

Baptism is as follows:
John,
son of John & Johannah LEWIS
Baptized: 5th March 1848
at Brecon St John's the Evangelist
(John Lewis (senior) is shown as being a shoemaker)
Old Port Superior Ward, Brecon

Hope this helps a little.
Regards, Alltcafan  :)

many thanks for the baptism.
i have been looking for the baptism as well for a johanne (joan) griffiths.  she supposedly was born in 1812/14 but the only baptism i can find is for a joan griffiths 1798.  she would be 13 years older than she said she was if this is the same joan.  think either st johns or st davids brecon.  do you think she may have lied about her age when married by 13 years???? thanks
