The Cheshire Sheaf. COMPLETED

Does anybody have any knowledge of the Cheshire Sheaf books? I am seeking two articles, numbers 4212 & 4514 but I don't know what volumes these would be in.

I am having no luck trying to search the library catalogues for them and since I don't know which volumes I require I am stuck.

volume 2 seems to be available on line covering 1880 to 1882 and you can search it

Thanks, yes I keep finding that one when I search in Google but it only goes up to about number 2000.

This might get you a bit further down the line, though I see you're based in Yorkshire so maybe not!
Go to the Cheshire Archives and Local Studies page
http://archives.cheshire.gov.uk/default.aspx?page=12
Click on the Catalogue tab. Then the Local Studies tab. Enter  cheshire sheaf   in the Title box, and select  Phrase  under the word options.
You should get 5 hits, the bottom two obviously being the most useful, and particularly the last one. It seems that various Cheshire public libraries have runs of the hard copy, and - really good news! - it's also available on a searchable CD-ROM set in various places. Given that, perhaps some kindly public librarian will search for your two articles and help you take your quest forward.

4514 is in 3rd Series Vol XIX Feb 15 1922 and relates to Early Cheshire Deeds (cont from 4512). Did you mean this and not 4212?

It is quite lengthy and ends 'to be continued'.
