Does anyone know if such an establishment existed in the 1840s ?
If so, where might records etc be held ?

Thank you - but notice that its IGI records stop in 1837 . Are the post 1837 ones in existence somewhere ?
Incidentally, why do so many non-conformist IGI records stop in 1837 ? Its something I've been meaning to mention for a while !
