The husband of my paternal great grandmother,  Thomas Viner CRUNDWELL, who died in a tragic accident near Gisborne on 9th March 1878 was buried in this cemetery with his name incorrectly recored vas CRANDWELL.
I am not sure if there was ever a headstone.

It has been difficult to obtain much information about this cemetery.
