Copes
« on: Saturday 10 March 12 03:04 GMT (UK) »
Hi Peeps.  I'm new here.  I'm looking for any info on the children who were born to  William Copes and Eliza Crothers.  I think they were married circa 1852.  They had 9 children 5 of whom were still alive in 1911.  I know one of them was named William C (Crothers) who was my grandfather.  Many thanks in advance.

Hi,
on 21 Jun 1852 William Copes married Eliza Crothers in Drumgooland Presbyterian Church, Banbridge District Co.Down. The fathers' names were James Copes and Samuel Crothers. The children, registered in Ballyward, Banbridge after 1864 were
19 0ct 1864  Sarah Anne
29 May 1867 William Crothers
20 Jul 1871 Margaret Mary
21 Feb 1874 Eliza.

To find any children before 1864 you will have to find baptismal records.

Browne, Barrett -Co.Armagh

hi, I'm new to this, have been doing a bit of research and have found that my grand mothers father was Robert john copes.  I think son of William (at least this is what i am guessing by the 1911 census) he died on 16Th may1993.  Was just wondering if anybody had any information on him.

thanks
Kim

To Yvonne March 10. Your message of this date is of interest as I believe William and Eliza copes are my great great grandparents. Thomas their son born 1852 migrated to australia about 1880. Would like to hear from you
