yes that what the 1911 cenus is saying  ??? even put the ones that r no long live it said 10 kids only six r live and 4 r dead very muddle

There seems to have been a lot of misunderstanding of what was required, as in some cases apparently dead children have been entered by name in the census. However the form clearly states that the people entered had to be alive at midnight.

do comes under the married or widower i can c it  on the 1911 cenus

Do you mean you can see it on the 1911 census. "do" comes under single meaning that all those people are single.

Were they the ones that were single and still at home in 1911?

Do you know which one died 1901-1911?

Ok I have seen the 1911 now.

Although it is a bit of a muddle, they have actually helped by listing the children who have died, then crossing them out and marking them "dead".

Alfred, who you mention, who was born after 1901 and thus not on that census, is one of the ones who have died.

On this 1911 I see they list 10 children, and cross 4 out marked as "dead" - but that does not tie up with 1901 where there was an additonal child, William, who does not appear on the 1911 list, implying that they actually must have had 11 children.
As I noted before, there are 7 children with them in 1901, but by 1911 only 6 are still alive - I thougt 1 more must have died, but the discrepancy is this William who is there is 1901 but not mentioned in the list of 10 on 1911.

Charlotte does seem to be married, for 4 years, but they have listed her as Morris.
