Unless that is the guy himself Anthony I doubt the guy at Ballyveasey is related as the Dad of William (Stephen Boyd) was a Canadian called James.

Have you any 1950s street directories there Anthony. I was told on another site that there were Millars in Sunnyside Street. William's brothers may have lived there when they worked in Andrew's Mills. I think we'd really need to read the death notices to see if their addresses can be found. We are short a few siblings .. there were nine of them. I think there is a site for Ballyclare Former Pupils it might be worth a look.

Ballyclare High School ( The Old Ballyclarian's Association)
1940 Elizabeth Wilson Miller
1942 Robert James Miller
1947 John Millar (I wonder would he have been Jackie)
1948 John Millar
1949 William Stanley Millar
The last one on the list might be 18 year old William.

Hi Steve,

I'm Natalie and I've been helping my mum trace her family tree. Her name is Maureen Millar and her father, my grandfather was james (Jim) Millar. His cousin was William Millar, otherwise known as Stephen Boyd. I was just wondering what info you had found on all of this as we keep coming up empty.

Thanks,

Natalie

Hey everyone, from my research I have found out that I too am related to Stephen Boyd through his mother, and this is the following info I have found.

Stephen Boyd's mother Martha was one of 10 siblings: Jane, Mary, William, Annie, Agnes(my gg grandmother), John, Rachel, Archie, David and Martha.

Their parents were called John and Mary Boyd, both born in 1851

Martha(stephens mother) married James Alexander Millar and had 6 children: James, Harry, Alex, Rita, William(a.k.a. stephen) and Jack.

Hope this helps, I have more indepth info if anyone needs it

Hi

Just found this...my mum would have told us that she was a distant cousin of Stephen Boyd...I have since found that our side of the Millar family namely my grandfather came from Ballygelly, Slemish.
So they surely got around .
