Is there someone out there who could assist please?

I have located a death record for Jeffrey Ashley Gibbs dated 1985 in the State of Victoria.  Nothing more is known and nothing located in the Ryerson Index orTrove Newsapers.

Location of death is Whei .. I presume this is somewhere near Melbourne.  Is Whei a district, a suburb or town?

Very interested in locating burial location and details.  If it was obtainable a Death Notice from newspaper would also be most useful.

Any information or assistance would be most valued.

ancestry have the death registration place as Wmei, which google maps doesn't recognise although it does bring up a Wheildon St and a Wheildon Road in Victoria

He was 81 when he died so estimated birth year 1904.
Father's name Bar Montgomery, mother Maud Amanda (no maiden name given).
Registration no 10216 Victoria in 1985

Someone with more knowledge of Victorian place names and districts will be along to help I'm sure

I found the following although the first names are reversed.

According to the 1972, 1977 and 1980 Australian Electoral Roll

Ashley Jeffrey GIBBS 6 Norris Crt, Blackburn, occupation Director

1954  and 1963 Electoral Roll  18 Gordon Cres, Blackburn, occupation, Sales

1968 Electoral Roll 9 Thackeray St (Croydon I think) Occupation Director

There are other family members but I won't list them as they could be still alive

The Australian Electoral Rolls are on Ancestry

Blackburn and Croydon are both Melbourne Suburbs

WHEI could be Warrenheip
