Where is Caroline Emma MUTTON born 1861

Hi there,

I think you will find there was more than one family with the surname MUTTON in the Bathurst District in the mid 19thC.  I recall helping on other RChatters threads re that surname.  

Have you been in touch with the Bathurst family history group.   Here is a link http://bathurstfhg.asn.au/ (Their Pioneer Index has 57 instances for that surname.

I think some of the families may have been more towards Oberon, rather than further west than Bathurst. And, I am aware that in those regional districts that at times the summaries sent to the NSW BDM head office may have been diverted and not arrived in Sydney during the gold rush era. (Royal Mail often accompanied the Gold Escorts).

I didn't realize that the mother's year and place of birth are detailed in WA certs

I am not the only one tearing her hair out here  I do not have Frederick Byrons birth certificate of Marriage Certificate. I have only just sent for them but yes, when I noticed Frederick on the BDM WA records, I sent for his death certificate and it lists Caroline Emma and William on his death certificate.

He is the correct grandfather and my grandmothers name was Harriett Nawell so I am in the right sortof direction.. but Caroline evades me.
Yes MAJM, I noticed in that area there was a lot of muttons but Carolines parents are listed as John Mutton and Margaret Storey.
I think I am lost here and may not be able to find the right one somehow thats why I called on the experts here
