Hi Judith, hope you are well.
update as promised:
Going backwards and checking at each stage I ended up on the 1841 census with this family living at Bigges Main
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:M7WC-ZB8The youngest child, Ann, was born c 1839 and was baptised 21 July at Longbenton per the BTs
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QS7-L967-PWSX? the GRO site gave a MMN of Wilkinson
I now have the pdf of her birth registration:
Born 22nd April 1839 at Bigges Main, Ann, girl
father John Jobling, Pitman
mother Mary Jobling, formerly WIlkinson
registered by mother, Mary Jobling, Bigges Main, Walker on 8th May 1839.
I believe this is a likely contender for the marriage of John Jobling and Mary Wilkinson
St Andrew Newcastle Bts 15 Mar 1832
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:S3HT-67F3-V4C?and John's baptism in 1810
Baptism 9 Dec 1810, Gosforth BTS
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:S3HT-627S-Z7K?per Durham Records Online (probably from PR, but that's not clear)
30 Dec 1810 John Jobling, of West Kenton, born 25 Apr, 1st son of John Jobling (pitman, native of the parish of Stamfordham) by his wife Anne Peel (daughter of Joseph Peel, native of Kenton)
and a likely marriage for John's parents
John Jobling and Ann Peel
Gosforth BTs 09 Sep 1809
https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:S3HT-627S-W3Z?Am hoping to get copies of original parish records for the above BTs, on the offchance that they 'may' have more info.
Can take a fair while to get copies from Woodhorn, but I'll make a list and send in an order.
