thank you, the mystery thickens.  Janet Kennedy was born about 1824 and obviously survived.   she is my ancestor.  I see you are interested in Pickerings from Middleton.  we have friends, farmers, Pickering in that area.

was church st the name of the address? its interesting that that is where Ann Foster lived, when she had her illegitimate baby,  her son George married janet kennedy in 1840.   or is it the name of the burial ground - Sculcoates cemetery?

Yes, Church Street is the name of the address at the time of death/burial,

Yes, my Pickerings came from Kilnwick into Middleton on the Wolds and then into surrounding areas, i do not know if they went into farming though.
