Help
« on: Tuesday 17 May 05 18:01 BST (UK) »
I am trying to find out what ships and departure ports were used by some rellies emigrating to Canada, can anybody shed some light on this for me.

In around 1831/1832 Joseph Totton b1788 Armagh, his wife Maria and their children James and Annie. Went to Kings County, N.B.

Also there is a William Curren born 1815 in Fermanagh who emigrated to St. John, NB between 1832 and 1834

Not that I know much but considering where they were born, would Liverpool be the departure area.

If anyone has the ability to find this out, or point me in the right direction it will be greatly appreciated.

Here are two web sites,

www.theshipslist.com and

www.olivetreegenealogy.com

They both have lots of passenger list information. Back in the years you are searching, they sailed from Co. Cork. Donegal, Londonderry as well as places in England.

Karen
Gandley (but known as Stanley in Canada)- Ireland to Birmingham
Ball, Kempson & Franklin - Birmingham
Shorter - Surrey
Dyer - Devon
Dawkins - Co. Cork, Ireland
Heffernan - Ireland
Huck - Alsace, France
Reinhart - Baden, Germany
Bowman & Ellis - England
Etheridge - Gloucestershire

Who all came to Canada in a little row boat, clap clap, clap your hands!!
