He was Samuel Gordon born in 1893 at the Glaick Farm Leswalt Wigtownshire son of Thomas Gordon and Agnes Paterson
he was a ploughman when he married Annie Watson in 1913 at Kilbreen Farm Stoneykirk, She has where he was in 1915
from the valuation rolls and his work record until he retired in 1958 and his death in Stranraer in 1964.

Have you tried ScotlandsPeople - you can buy 30 credit for £7.00

you should be able to get his birth and marriage certs but not his death cert yet unless you order it for about £10.00 for a copy.

you seem to have a lot of info so you should be able to location him quite easily.

also you will be able to locate him in the 1901, 1911 census' as you know the area.

Hi terianne,
Yes  she has a lot of information  he  ended up working as a forester on Lord Stairs estate at Castle Kennedy near Stranraer  -- has him on 1901 census in Leswalt and all the information on his family back until they came over from Ireland c 1840

all certs . and a lot more but for some reason we just c an't find him on 1911 census.

I thought maybe someone else have a look might be able to find him and I would be able to surprise her as a thank you

for all the help she has given me and a lot of our friends in research.

Cheers,
Jessie

He might be listed under the name Samuel GORDAN aged 18 at Kirkcolm, Wigtownshire in 1911

Hi Sancti,
Thank you for that must be him as Kirkcolm is only a few miles from Leswalt.

Many thanks indeed.
