LLANBISTER PARISH RECORDS - HALL
« on: Wednesday 11 April 12 01:19 BST (UK) »
Hi,

This is my first post here, although I have been researching my family tree for several years.  On my father's side I have got back to:

RICHARD HALL b approx 1806, Llanbister; d 1854 Llanbister.

I have found an indication that his parents were Henry HALL (1752-1838 - also Llanbister) and Elizabeth BUFTON, and that Henry's parents were Henry HALL and Elizabeth (Unknown).

These are unsourced entries so I would be grateful if somebody could confirm them for me please.

Kind regards,

Julian

Hi Victor,

Looking again at my family tree Elizabeth looks to have been Henry's daughter, as he married in 1784.  Slightly confused as I have his son James born in 1788 and Elizabeth born in 1806.  As far as offspring are concerned, at the moment I have:

James: 1788-?
Richard: 1806-1854 -> my paternal G4 Grandfather
Henry: ?-?
Ann: ?-?
John: ?-?
Sophia: ?-?
Thomas: ?-?
William: ?-?
Elizabeth: 1806-?

Is there anything in the records on the other children to fill in some of the gaps?

The last Elizabeth may well be wrong as they wouldn't have two daughters called Elizabeth I wouldn't have thought.  Part of the problem is too many Elizabeths! :)  One in each generation so far! :)

Many thanks for your help! :)

Kind regards,

Julian

Thank you Victor :)  That will be the one I have born in 1806 then.  The other one born in 1788 I'll take a look at again.

Thank you for your help!

Kind regards,

Julian

Does Victor have access to a transcription or images of Llanbister burials for this period, as I am looking for the burials of some of the JONES family there from 1841 onwards, but also over the 1819-1841 period? Vincent
