Hi hope somone can help
  Im looking for a Blenkinsop Knowles  born born 1870  Whitehaven Cumbria  he is on the 1901 census and 1911 census   he marries a Catherine Doran in 1895
He just dosnt seem to exist on any census before  1901 anywhere 
My head hurts from banging my head against the brick wall

His birth cert will confirm whether his parents were Wilson and Margaret and if so - for some unknown reason you will find him on the 1871 census as Hilton Knowles aged 4mths

Hi all, there was a marriage of a Wilson Knowles to a Margaret Blenkinsop in Sept 1858 Whitehaven 10b 594

A Hilton? Knowles aged 4 months is with Wilson and Margaret in 1871 Census Ref RG10/257/48/9

A possible maybe, to link with above?

I know this is from a long time back, but in 1804 a George Blenkinsop married an Elizabeth Hilton in Whitehaven area, and the Hilton name was used several times in the family and related families that they married into / with ....
