Who does Frank belong to? *COMPLETED*

Betsey Ann Robinson married William Green 1856 Heaton Norris Stockport. On 1861 & 71 censuses they have children Elizabeth Ann & Emma

Using CheshireBMD search for births cross referencing surname & maiden name i find the following:

1858 Elizabeth Ann stockport Second
1860 Emma            stockport second
1861 Frank            stockport first
1861 Mary Ann       stockport second
1863 Alfred            stockport second


I have found infant deaths for Mary Ann & Alfred  so am pretty sure they are from my family

But Frank is a puzzle. He is in a different sub-district for registration and according to freeBMD reg in a different qtr from MaryAnn so there is "just" enough time for them both to be of the same family
But I cannot find a death for him, cannot find him on the censuses and cannot find another Green/Robinson marriage

Can anyone else spot him anywhere?

Hi, Marmalady, this doesn't quite answer who Frank belongs to, but there is a burial for a Frank Green aged 14 days on 27th January 1861 at Stockport Municipal Cemetery.  I did not find a baptism for him, but he possibly wasn't christened as they didn't have time to.

The only Frank Green death reg in Mar qtr 1861 is in Islington

I have got both Mary Ann & Alfred as infant deaths  reg in Stockport second (same as their births) in 1862 & 1864 - both around 6 months old

Its just Frank that is a puzzle
Who are his parents?

Hi, Marmalady here is the detail for the burial of Mary Ann.
Aged 14 weeks 9th March 1862 buried at St. Paul Portwood, source NBI.

Hi, again, here is the record for Alfred.  Buried at St Paul Portwood. 14 months of age 17th March 1864.
Interesting that Mary Ann and Alfred are buried at Portwood and Frank was the municipal cemetery.  Perhaps they are not siblings and the matching last names of Robinson and Green are just a coincidence!!  I will have a bit more of a search and see if I can find anything else.

I'm pretty sure Frank isnt of the same family -- his birth was registered in a different sub-district to all the other children, and was very close to Mary Ann's but not impossibly close

Its just a curiosity that there doesnt seem to be another green/robinson marriage in the area for him to belong to either

Ah-ha! Think i have solved the mystery!!

widening the search years throws up another birth --in Marple sub-district of Stockport of Ruth Robinson Green 1846-50

And then this marriage:John Green / Serena Robinson Marple All Saints 1843

I just hadnt looked far enough back !
