Preston marriage St John's 1752
« on: Saturday 14 April 12 15:46 BST (UK) »
Could someone please look up a marriage for me at St John's Preston.
I have the basic details of the marriage of John Hill and Jennet Kay on the 27th Dec 1752. I want to know if the occupation of John is mentioned or if anybody knows if that information was recorded at that time?
Many thanks
John

Pre 1837 marriages give us little information unfortunately, :(

Normally only the bride and grooms names, status, whether of the parish, date and witnesses, occasionally other information may be  recorded and witnesses might be close family members which can prove helpful.
