Huntingdonshire cemeteries
« on: Sunday 15 April 12 06:54 BST (UK) »
Hi there
I have a Mary CHAMBERS married Harry WHITE of Huntingdonshire in 1804. They had a child Phebe WHITE 1804 Phebe died in 1807?
Mary died in 1808.
I was wondering if there would be ( with a bit of luck) any online pictures of the cemetery at Bluntisham Baptist as I think this was their resting place???
Would death certificates for 1807 and 1808 show cause of death?
Thank you
Jenny from Bribie Island

Hi,
Death certificates, like birth and marriages, were not introduced until 1837.

bugger thank you I forgot about that! ::)
Is there other records that I could look at to see what the cause of death was?

Your only hope is that the burial entry included a comment, but that was rare. One register that I recall mentioned that "scarlet fever was bad this year". Your thought that they were buried at Bluntisham Baptist may well be correct as they don't appear in Bluntisham parish register.

The deaths/burials might be recorded, but the cause of death is unlikely to be given.

Yes thats what I thought thank you. So would you know if there is a register of some sort with pictures of graves in Bluntisham?
I know we have some good sites with pictures of Australian cemeteries over here?

I would contact Bluntisham baptist church to see if they can help. 1807/8 is early to find headstones
