Looking for information on Christopher Menhennet HOSKIN
« on: Monday 23 April 12 18:36 BST (UK) »
I know that Christopher married Susan Jenkin Pascoe in Morro Velho, Brazil om 28.09.1858, he was a miner and she was a miners daughter.
I have not been able to find any records for Christopher, his parent's or any siblings, I do know that Susan returned to Cornwall in 1874 with only her son Edward in tow, but no Christopher!

Any ideas?

Yes that does look like it could be him, do you know where I could access the births, marriages and deaths of those miners and their families that lived in Morro Velho, Brazil?

I have the marriage of them, but am unable to find any subsequent births, deaths or marriages of their children.

Thanks for the info

think you'll need another board for the records in Brazil

http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php/board,421.0.html

The only likely birth I can see in the GRO consular index is this one
Mary Menhenatt Hoskin registered at Minas Geraes vol 5 pg 89 1866-1870
You can order a copy of this cert from the GRO

Records in Cornwall can be found

baptism of a child - same one as the birth reg?

& his burial
