1841 Census look up

Hi all.....could one of you fine people look for a James and Mary Doud/Dowd/O'Dowd and Patrick Doud/Dowd/O'Dowd in this census please.
Possibly in Derbyshire.

Hi Dowdy,

I found another one of your threads about these people. James and Mary's son was born about 1845 in Ireland so it's unlikely any of them were in England before then (so they wouldn't show up on the 1841 census).

Looking at the details from the 1851 census I would say that they were still in Ireland in 1841.  Their eldest child, Edward, gives his birthplace as Ireland and he was born in 1845.  Perhaps they weren't even married in 1841.

Thanks, it's been a while looking for any clue as to where in Ireland these 2 came from.

Hi Dowdy, don't give up! :D

It is a difficult one, though. I think the key to this is finding James and Mary's marriage. It would presumably be in Ireland, before they came to England. At least you know Mary's maiden name, that's a start.

Tipperary and Kilkenny apparently. They are my GGG Grandparents.
