1871-1901 Look up please.CROWLEY/DUBBLER
« on: Thursday 19 May 05 11:54 BST (UK) »
I am trying to find THOMAS CROWLEY. I am fairly certain he was from the Rosscommon area in Ireland. He would have been born between 1860 and 1870 I think. He married a JULIA DUBBLER and they had 13 children. I belive she shelled seafood (try saying that after a few!) I am not sure when or if they came to England but certainly many of their children came to Cardiff. I would love any help here. Many thanks

Hi Zebedee

Sorry we haven't been able to help you so far on this one.

Have you had a look at all the usual general resources I tend to suggest?  ;)

You could also look at these Roscommon specific sites which may help.

Thankyou Audrey... I will have a deeper look into it and see if this could be my Thomas Crowley.

I have looked at 1901 census at www.leitrim-roscommon.com with no luck. I can't find any Dubblers anywhere either- is that definitely Julia's surname? I know spellings often vary.
If Thomas was born about 1860-1870 - and stayed in Ireland, then the children would be on Irish birth registers. It would therefore be worthwhile searching for a birth certificate for a known child and getting the information from there.
best wishes
