Currell Family shield
« on: Saturday 28 April 12 22:47 BST (UK) »
Hi,

Would someone know how or where to get a copy of their family shield? If any Currell's are on roots chat or has a it, would they be able to send copy.

Thanks,

J.C

Hi J.C. :)

From another topic:
It must be remembered that in the heraldic traditions of Western Europe there is no such thing as a generic Coat of Arms for a given surname.  Basically a Coat of Arms is specific to an individual and their legitimate descendants.

Are you searching for a particular Currell who you believe may have had a coat of arms?

Cheers
Prue

Burke's General Armory notes two different Currel(l) arms, one for Currel or Curle in Scotland and one for Currell in Devon.  Do you know if either of these might be the family you are searching for?
