French Marriage
« on: Monday 30 April 12 15:50 BST (UK) »
Hi,

Does anybody know who I would contact to obtain a copy of a marriage certificate that took place in France.

The marriage took place within the Lyons, district in 1966

Thanks

Sue

To obtain a recent marriage certificate you would need to contact the locality where it took place. For a marriage less within 75 years you also need to be the person concerned or a direct relative.

For Lyon: http://www.lyon.fr/espace-demarches/etat-civil-elections/actes-detat-civil/acte-de-mariage-a-lyon.html
Census information is Crown Copyright, from www.nationalarchives.gov.uk
