Plunkett - Pet-food shop COMPLETED
« on: Thursday 03 May 12 16:56 BST (UK) »
Hi folks
I remember as a young girl (1950-60s) visiting a pet food shop in Leicester owned by my granny and grandfather. The name over the shop was "Plunkett", which was their surname.
Can anyone tell me where in Leicester it was?
Thank you

The 1950s telephone directory only lists three Plunketts. One is in Quorn and one is in Sileby.

The most likely could be Edward Plunkett who had a Corn and Seed business at 105 Queens Road, Leicester.

If this is the right shop, it is now Belvoir Lettings, which you can see on Google Street View.

Regards,
David
