Mallerstatt Gothenburg Sweden

Looking for Axel Leopold Mallerstatt born 1846 Gothenburg Sweden. He came to NZ in about 1870. I believe he was a whaler when he first arrived. I have all his information in NZ. His Parents where Frederick Mallerstatt and Elizabeth Johanna Brown. I would like to know more about his Parents and if he had any siblings. Many Thanks in advance.

All i have is; MC for Axel Leopold Mallerstatt age 40, born Sweden, Parent's Frederick Mallerstatt Army Officer. Elizabeth Johanna Brown. In the 1893 Intention to Marry it tells me he has been in his present place of residence for 20 yrs.
Naturalization Papers; 1911 age 65 born Gothenburg, Sweden.

I have found him. He was born 29 April and baptized 4 May 1846. His father was F.F. Möllerstedt and mother was Johanna Maria Liljegren.
His father was in the army in the 3rd Fält Batteriet.

Thank-you. I started looking for him 20 yrs ago. Where can i find more info on his siblings/parents  . Do you have a reference for the info you have just given me.

Here is Axel in the "Records over Non-Existing Persons" book from 1878 - the priest gave up waiting for him to return so he wrote him in this book in 1878. This means that the priest doesn't know where he is. In other words he left the parish without ("permission") the right documents....... jumping ship maybe.
