Sorry for the bumping of an old post.

I am just confirming that there is a living Tortoise, I believe I am the last one.

Others in the extended family altered their last names slightly.

I used to live in Northumberland. Would be happy to answer questions to the best of my ability.

Another bump for an old post, I am a direct decendant of the Tortoise family. Jemima was my great great grandmother 🙂
