Salmon Craft - Lookup Request

I am looking for a baptism record for my 5x great-grandfather Salmon Craft. Despite his unusual name so far I have had no luck tracing any records of his birth. I believe he was born around 1777 in Buckinghamshire probably around Chalfont St Giles. I know he married Ann Welch in 1802 in London but other than that I cannot find any information on him. If anyone could help I would really appreciate it.

There is a William Croft, born to Solomon Croft and Sarah in Chisester, Sussex, in 1784. Perhaps Salmon is a mis-spelling of Solomon. I'll have a further look into this family for you.

I can't find any further baptisms to Solomon and Sarah and no Salmon to be found. This is a difficult one. I'll leave it for wiser minds.

thanks for the help. The name Salmon is probably not a wrong spelling as his son was also named Salmon, I have noticed while looking through some Chalfont St Giles records that there are a few people with the surname of Salmon in this area, so i was thinking that maybe it might have been his mother's maiden name.
