Truss family in Hallam
« on: Sunday 20 May 12 12:30 BST (UK) »
Has anybody got a family from the parish of Hallam called Truss or Trusse. Might be connected to lace making?

Thanks
Les

The lacemaking connection is almost inevitable if it's in Nottingham.
Surname interests are at http://surname.rootschat.com/. Not sure if it's working right now though.

What names and what dates are 'your' Truss/ Trusse family?

Pauline

Hi Pauline, the parish records in part are on this site.

http://homepages.nildram.co.uk/~jimella/halam1.htm#018

They do show a couple of Trusse family members. Agnes being a son sounds wrong though.  :D
