Hi Sallysmum

I think you got that message, if you followed the link I gave, as it was linking another thread on the same topic back to this one. Now that they have been merged they are one and the same thread.  ;D ;D

The only thing keeping my mother going now (she is 88 and has dementia) is to live long enough so her grt grt granddaughter (now 2) remembers her, their visits help keep her connected and happy :)

Yes it is certainly great to get so many generations together. At one time we had nearly five generations living together, My G.Aunt,my parents, my wife and myself, our two younger children, one with her partner and their as yet unborn child.Unfortunately G.aunt Liz, (my GM sister) passed away before the birth of our1st. grandchild , a girl (Harmony). We now have a grandson from our eldest daughter so have a matched set. (Albeit 5 yrs apart!) Love these additional bits of trivia.

I too have a number of lovely photos of my mum, me, my daughter and her daughters.  My mother took great pride in them and  used to love looking at them, and always liked to remind everyone 'there's 4 generations here you know'.

Sadly mums no longer here, but I have recently got the news that I am going to be a great grandmother in October. So no doubt I will be just like mum was,  and delight in showing off my '4 generation' photos.
