Both hard copies & microfims are held at B'ham Central Library & the Post & Mail Ltd. archive in B'ham.
As you have a specific date it shouldn't be a problem finding the article.
As you can't get there yourself & assuming no one's going for you you can contact the library & ask for a copy but there will be a charge for this service.

hello adeline

can you scan the articles then e-mail them. it may be possible to find the undated article based on the topic and the may 1954 edition might be held at the london archive.

if not then jim's advice should bear fruit and also ask the moderator to move your request to birmingham as there should be someone willing to do a look up for you there.

post back if you have scanned and i'll pm my e-mail to you.

Hi Jim,

I went on the net and was directed to Sutton Coldfield Library through the link you provided but it's closed, so I will have to contact B'ham library.

Thank you for your help

Hi adeline B. I picked up on one of your posts yesterday, I spent all day trying to send you a message but could not find a means of doing so.I think you may be a cousin of mine twice removed.
Your G.G.Grandfather William b.1828-1895 was my G/Fathers, father. Another William b.1872. I have quite an extensive family tree which I would be happy to share with you. I noticed that you were confused with place names. Shenstone, Little Hay, Hay, Hill, Sutton Coldfield. They are all within about a two mile radius of each other and with the Census's mistakes often happen. I was also delighted to find the Photograph of Myra(h) Berrisford. First time I have seen anything prior to 1900's or thereabouts. I have just joined Rootschat and cannot send you a PM. If you wish you can send one to me..
My Kind Regards
George.
Hello,

I,m so excited to have just received two news paper articles about my gx2 grandfather. The only problem is they are photo copied and hard to read and you can't see the photographs with the articles. I'm from Canada and not really sure on how to go about trying to get these news paper articles. The head lines are,

92's helper,aged79,is "good lad"

they had nothing on the "aston sloggers"

James Brown my 2x grandfather was 92 around 1954  and lived in sutton coldfield
I would love to be able to see the articles  :D I have been searching the internet trying to find out information on how to obtain the articles and cant find anything :(
can anyone help me please, I would be forever grateful ;D ;D ;D ;D
Thank you adeline b

Hello George

Welcome to Rootschat  ;D

According to her profile, Adeline hasn't been online here for a couple of months but she should receive email notifications that we have posted and hopefully come back soon.

If she does and you have made 2 more posts, you will be able to send messages on  the personal message system.

As a new member, you are encouraged to take a few moments to read our guidelines for posting here

http://www.rootschat.com/help/

Have a look at the guidelines on the left side of the screen and also the personal message section.

I hope you don't mind, but I've removed some of your personal details, you can exchange these with Adeline on the personal message system. It's not always wise to share these things on a public forum.

Happy Hunting
