glossop and jerrison families

Thank you Milliepede for your efforts. We are aware of the baptisms of these 8 children. It was interesting that Janets first child Mary (to a different father), was excluded when 6 were baptised at one session.
We had also looked at the Charles Glossop transported to Van Diemens land (Tasmania) aboard the Marion, but the london county court records and Marion's records show he was born in London, was born about 1818 and was literate. My GGF was , we believe born in Isle of Wight about 1804 and only ever signed his name with an "X".
We had considered that our info was maybe incorrect, and that the Charles on the Marion was the right one, but there is more evidence to suggest the I of W Charles is the right one, and nothing to link the Marion Charles.

As to the Charles Jerrison transported, I simply have no idea. Maybe William Glossop and Elizabeth never married and Charles was their son, and William abandoned her. I guess Charles could have taken the Glossop name once he was in Australia.

As an obviously experienced family detective, could this make sense to you?

To date I have no info about Eliz.Jerrison and her life after Charles birth.
 Do you have any further info about this Charles Jerrison?

Milliepede, you just may be a genius.
I have now found charles jerrison b 23/7/1809, christened 30/12/1809 in chesterfield derbyshire, mother elizabeth father william. Perhaps eliz and willam never married and eliz invented william jerrison??
Regardless, the next step is charles jerrison to australia aboard woodford (2) from portsmouth  2/5/1828 arriving 25/8/1828 in tasmania.
Next is a marriage between charles jerrison b. 1811 and rebecca jones b. 1813 at port sorell tasmania on nov 25th 1846.
Rebecca jones is mentioned elsewhere in our research as the 1st wife of charles glossop.

It is possible that after they married, charles went to Victoria, with or without rebecca, and adopted his father's name, glossop.
Our charles glossop married mary mahan (his 2nd wife) 8/7/1850, and is recorded as a widower. Other records indicate he and rebecca had 1 child, name unknown. Perhaps rebecca and child died in childbirth.
I know this is a lot of supposition, but it fits and it answers many many questions about the lack of records for charles glossop before 1850.

Unfortunately Tasmania does not have BDM online, so not sure where to go next.

Possible sibling.

Glossop 18 Apr 1813 Chesterfield.  Parents William and Elizabeth.  This one is on family search surname spelt Gerrison.  There are other possible siblings but have to be a bit careful as there are a couple with same parents names same place born before 1800 when our William and Elizabeth married.

I have looked for a marriage license via http://mss-cat.nottingham.ac.uk/DServe/dserve.exe?dsqApp=Archive&dsqDb=Persons&dsqCmd=Search.tcl
and my copy of Nottinghamshire Marriage licenses 1701 - 1853, but I can't see one.
