I expect the book although published 1929 was collated the year before (I used to work for the GLC/ILEA at County Hall) and this Joseph Heyes may have just joined the Authority thus enabling him at 30 to get married - so he could easily have missed the printing deadline.
A BIG thank you for looking though.

Hi, I just stumbled across this site whilst researching my great great grandfather.  Would your book happen to have an entry for Jesse Godfrey?  I beleive he was the Chief Solicitor.
Many thanks

Hebbie, in the Solictor's department in 1929, the Solicitor to the Council was S.A.R. Preston-Hillary, salary £2000 p.a. There was a vacancy for the Chief Assistant Solicitor.

Amongst the Departmental Staff there was a W.A. Godfrey serving as Assistant, 1st Cl. - he entered service in Nov. 1900. Salary £350 p.a.

Hi! My great grandad James Field worked for the council in Hammersmith. He was a sewer flusher. I wonder if he might be on your list? I've been researching him for some time and it would be lovely to find out a little more about him!
Many thanks!
