Cheshire parish registers project
« on: Wednesday 06 June 12 20:30 BST (UK) »
Is it just me or have more members found omissions in some of the registers that are supposed to be complete.
For instance Davenham PRs from the 1730s to the 1750s have a whole families baptisms missing which I have in my records.

I wasn't aware of any omissions but errors are possible in any transcriptions - do you have some examples?

Thanks,

Jean

I was looking on the project website for somewhere to enquire about possible omissions but couldn't find a link.
So I posted on hear to get a response.
I am at present looking through all my old notebooks to make sure I haven't made any silly mistakes.
Should I post possible omissions on here or is there a better way?
Barry

Hi Barry,

A couple of examples will be fine if you have them.

Thanks,

Jean

If you search for the name Atherton you will find an entry for Davenham, of a Mary, baptised 31/12/1736 dau, of Henry and Clare.
There are no other Athertons untill 29/11/1761.
Whereas I have another six children with the same parents, baptised in 1737-40-43-46-47 and 51.

Hi Barry,

Just had a look - try Attherton.  I think they are there.

Silly me.
Thanks Jean.
