McLeod - Thurso area

Hi,

Just started my son in laws family,been researching my family for 20 years and this is the first time Scotland has come up.
This is the info I have.
His mother is still alive and born 1940 believed Thurso area.
Her sister b 1942 Thurso area.
Their father was killed in WW2 his name Alexander McLeod he was believed to have 26 when he died in 1945 Buried in a cemetery in Thurso. No info on their mother.

All a bit up in the air, but if anyone could help with some info I would be grateful.

Hi,
Just had a bit more info from the son in law. His grandfather was Alexander Robert McLeod born 1908 so 37 when he died, he's buried in Strathy cemetery.All we know of his wife is that she was called Annie. Like to find Annie's surname and when they were married, late 30s I would have thought. Son in Law is going to try and ask his aunt about it, but he say's he can't ask his mother.He sees her most days so something had happened and she won't speak about her parents.

Hi,
More info coming in dribs & drabs. I now have the following the sisters fathers name was Alexander Roderick Mcleod born 1908 and died 23/ 12 /1945, buried in Strathy Cemetery. His wife was Annie McKay Ross. Her father was believe to be John Ross.
