That death might not be 'your' Margaret, HUNTER is quite a common name. Maybe Margaret went to Australia for a holiday or moved there after her marriage :-\


I agree that listening to family members can be confusing, sometimes you find little gold nuggets but other times it's like being at the end of a game of Chinese whispers  ;D

Margaret Barnsdale Hunter nee Rowlat married my great grandfather Robert James Hunter in 1916. Margaret came to the parish as a Church army sister.
In 1939 they were living in Kirk Merrington .
Margaret died in 1948 ( the year after Robert) .
They're both buried in Kirk Merrington, Durham. I cannot find Charles Rowlatts death either.
Could he have gone to Canada or Australia?
