1871 Census - McKEOWN
« on: Sunday 17 June 12 07:46 BST (UK) »
Hi All

I'd appreciate any help in finding a Mary MCKEOWN b circa 1868 daughter of Michael and Catherine.

Mary later married and lived in the Ancoats area of Manchester (Henry Street) and the later census has her place of birth as Manchester.

I can't find any possibilities and wonder if alternate surname spellings may be to blame.

Many thanks for any help.
M

Thanks All

I have the marriage register entry for Mary McKeown marrying James Toole 27 March 1888 in St Albans, Ancoats.  The register lists the bride's parents as Michael and Catherine (an incidentally the groom's parents as John and Maria).  The address for both bride and groom is 105 Henry Street Ancoats.

heatherjulie, that looks like a good match for the birth - I'll take a look at that, thanks.

Regards
M
