Lost Crosthwaites in Irthlingboro'
« on: Tuesday 19 June 12 22:30 BST (UK) »
My great grandparents farmed at Harrington and Faxton but in 1920 they retired to Irthlingboro'.  They moved again to Holly Lodge in Finedon.  Rebecca Crosthwaite died there in November 1938 and her husband Joseph Coulthard Crosthwaite in 1942. Neither are buried in Finedon. I wonder if anyone could find their burials in Irthlingboro?
Thanks!

You can email Kettering Cemeteries Dept if you want to find out more.
They are very helpful  ;)

You can look at the original burial books also for the entry
which gives where they lived at time of burial, age, sometimes
occupation etc.

The Cemetery Office will also mark the grave on a map for you.

They are extremely helpful.  :)

If you would like I could go over and take down the information
for you.

Thank you.  That would be wonderful.
I think their daughter Annie, who died Harrington 1914 will also be there and also daughter Martha died 1974.  I can see Rebecca and Joseph's wills that they died at Holly Lodge,  Finedon.
My mother told me that the big house, Irthlinboro' had a tennis court.  Irthlingboro was the address given when Mark, their son emigrated for a while to Canada in the early 1920's.

It will probably be autumn when I get down there.

Your help really is appreciated.

I have just discovered from www.deceasedonline.com that Mark was cremated at Kettering Crem on 26 Jun 1967.

Just incase you don't have that info  ;D

Mark returned to the UK(Liverpool) from Montreal on 3 Dec 1936 travelling on the Duchess of Bedford,he said he was a farmer and gave the address Holly Lodge Finedon.

His form 30A to enter Canada in 1920 gave his next of kin as his father Joseph Crosthwaite of Irthlingborough.....but no exact address(what a pain  ::))
