[Had noticed on e/rolls that in 1905-06, Mary and her first husband were living in the Waikouaiti area -- so figured she might have been buried with him ? ]

Many thanks Beg & Lu. You have found the missing pieces and wrapped it all up for me. This case really does emphasise the importance of checking the work of other people. Apart from the discovered errors, I did still expect to find Mary buried somewhere near Oamaru.

Hi, finally worked out sort of how to work this thing well sort of. Mary Kenward / Pettiet was my Grandfather's sister so if we go back one more there mother was Helen or Ellen Pullar nee Nicholl which i think from a previous post of yours would be your (Great ?) grandmothers sister. I don't know much about my great grandmother Helen nee Nicholl at all and would love to have a chat somehow about her family etc. I am desperate for any photos of that family, i have one or two which i was given but they were unnamed so am not really sure if they are who they are supposed to be.
