Help please - Catherine RILEY bn 1800?
« on: Thursday 28 June 12 20:23 BST (UK) »
Hello,

Any help greatly appreciated to tie down the missing details for the following please.  What I know is as follows -

Catherine RILEY
born about 1798 or 1800
possbbly in Hilton, Derbys
married Henry HUNT of Hilton on 19th June 1819 at Marston Upon Dove(??)
occupation on 1851 census Dress Maker

This is all I have been able to find.  I would love to be able to confirm her DOB and parents details.

On IGI there is a Kitty Riley born about 1790 but she sadly passed away in 1791.

Can anyone help me please??

Thanks

Think I have found her - aged 56 so birthyear 1795 not 1798-1800.  Living in Hilton Staffordshire but not born there - b Muston which could possibly be Marston.

Living in the Ecclesiastical parish of  Marston on Dove which is shown as Staffs but which was Derbyshire

Hi all,

Carole - thanks for the info re Muston/Marston.  I did do a search using Marston upon Dove with no luck even using variations of the spelling of both names.  Nada ....  I will try again and see if I can narrow it down with the new birth date range

Sandra - that could be Catherine.

I did wonder if she may have been married and widowed prior to marrying Henry as I cannot find her birth details ???  More digging involved I think.

Thank you both for your help - I really appreciate it :D
