Well Allan,I was a bit stumped,being from the farthest reaches of Lancashire,but the Ditton bit,caught my attention,so it is them after all,thank you for sharing your knowledge of our county with me once more,

Garston to Ditton is only 5 miles Radcliff..so just happen to know it well .

I have a working Thomas Barrow tall case clock here in the U.S. Was looking for information on him and came across your message. My husband was from Manchester and when he saw the clock in an antique store here, he "had to have it".
